"Atlanta Center for Laparoscopic Urogynecology not only met our high expectations, they exceeded them in every way possible."
In my 27 years as an RN working in areas which have included cardiac critical care, oncology, home health and hospice care, I have observed what the very best in the delivery of health care can be and unfortunately at times what it should not be. Atlanta Center for Laparoscopic Urogynecology not only met our high expectations, they exceeded them in every way possible. From the intiial phone contact, to the call received from Dr. Moore a few days later for the purpose of discussing my daughter's possible treatment plan, to the office consultation, surgery, and follow-up care - every team member we encountered demonstrated the utmost in professionalism, respect, knowledge, competency and empathy. The kind caring and sincere interest in my daughter achieving a successful outcome continued upon our return to our home state as staff continued to call, write and e-mail. Dr. Moore and his staff went out of their way to ensure optimal coordination of care upon our return home by consulting with our local provider via phone discussions in a very timely and highly receptive manner.
To say that my daughter and I would highly recommend seeking out the care and services of Dr. Moore and his team would be an understatement. They think of everything, including arranging for rooming accommodations for those who require surgical intervention and post-operative follow-up.
Traveling to Atlanta from the West Coast seemed daunting and over-whelming but Dr. Moore and staff were so welcoming and helpful, that any inconveniences were easily overlooked.
Congratulations to the physicians and staff of Atlanta Center for Laparoscopic Urogynecology as they have achieved superior delivery of care and services and could serve as model for other health care providers.

"Thanks to Dr. Miklos and Dr. Moore my life both physically and mentally has changed. "
I was told that dilating was my only option, but that was not the case. Thanks to Dr. Miklos and Dr. Moore my life both physically and mentally has changed. Dr. Moore seemed very at ease about the procedure and clamed all my nerves and worries. Unfortunately, after the packing was removed scar tissue formed and I had to undergo another small procedure, wherein post-op more packing was put in. Dilating soon ensued after that bout of packing was removed, but unfortunately once again I hit another snag and more scar tissue formed where I had to undergo more surgery to remove it.
Now, 6 months later, after all of this, I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Moore and his team. I was only about 2 cm pre-op and post-op I was 11cm. Due to dilating and pelvic physical therapy I was able to stretch the tip of the vaginal canal to 13cm. I consider myself a real woman now that can lead an average sexual life. Once again due to Dr. Moore's and Dr. Miklos's team and the advances in medical science I would not be where I am today, and that is a true woman.

"I am so happy, thank you Dr. Miklos and Moore for changing my life for the better."
– CN, 21 years old, Georgia
Procedures: Laparoscopic Neovagina, Enterolysis
Info: Was born without a vagina secondary to MRKH syndrome and diagnosed at the age of 16. She was seen by another doctor who recommended vaginal dilators. On exam, her vagina was only represented by a 0.5cm dimple. After surgery, her vaginal length increased to a functional length for intercourse and she continues to use the vaginal dilators to increase this even more. She is having intercourse without problems.
Pre-op Vaginal Length = 0.5cm // Post-op Vaginal Length = 8.0cm
"I did not feel like a woman at all. My diagnosis freaked me out. I tried dilation for many years and I still couldn’t have normal sex. I felt abnormal since I didn’t have a vagina and my labia were huge! I had surgery with Dr Moore and Miklos and it went great. They are miracle workers! Now I feel like a woman."
– VG, 23 years old, California
Procedures: Laparoscopic Neovagina, Labiaplasty
Info: Had MRKH syndrome with a shortened vagina. She obtained several centimeters of length over time with dilation and attempted use, but did not reached an adequate length to have normal vaginal intercourse. She tried to use vaginal dilators over the years with no success. She also had enlarged labia minora which bothered her and made her self-conscious about appearance of her vagina. She was ecstatic with her results and the ability to have "normal intercourse."
Pre-op Vagina Length = 4.0cm // Post-op Vaginal Length = 11cm
"We travelled to Atlanta to ensure to get the best care for our daughter as Dr Moore and Miklos’ center is one of the only centers in the country that specializes in Laparoscopic Neovagina. The care was tremendous and our daughter is doing great."
– HJ, 62 years old, Georgia
Procedures: Laparoscopic Neovagina, Enterolysis
Info: Had a Vaginal Hysterectomy and prolapse repair in 1986. Developed recurrent prolapse and underwent 2 more surgeries by the same surgeon that subsequently failed. She was then told by this doctor that the next procedure would be an open abdominal repair. She got other opinions by 3 more physicians who all said that they could not help her. One of those physicians, a Urologist, referred her to our practice secondary to the fact that her vagina was significantly shortened.
Pre-op Vaginal Length = 4-5cm // Post-op Vaginal Length = 8.5cm

– ER, 42 years old, Mississippi
Procedures: Laparoscopic Neovagina, Enterolysis, Adhesiolysis
Info: Had a Hysterectomy in 1992 and vaginal repair with grafts in 2007 by another surgeon. Since then, she developed vaginal pain at the top of her vagina, pain with intercourse, and difficulty with vaginal applicators. On exam, the whole top of her vagina was scarred down and her vaginal length had decreased from 12.0cm to 6.5cm (average is about 9cm). Surgery performed January 2010 without complications. Her post-op vaginal length was increased dramatically and she is now again able to have intercourse.
Pre-op Vaginal Length = 6.5cm // Post-op Vaginal Length = 9.5cm
"Everything went great, I am very pleased."
– JM, 52 years old, Pennsylvania
Procedures: Laparoscopic Neovagina, Enterolysis
Info: This 52 year old patient had an LAVH and vaginal repair in 2005 at the University of Pennsylvania (U of Penn) in Philadelphia PA.. She attempted to have intercourse 5 months later and was "impenetrable." She went to her surgeon and was told to use more lubricant and that she didn’t have a problem. She attempted intercourse again the next year with no success. She went for a second opinion by urogynecologists at the U of Penn and was told that she has no vaginal vault left and needed to start using dilators to create a new vagina for herself. After a painful 3 weeks of dilators, she stopped. She was referred to a plastic surgeon at U of Penn who recommended skin grafts and a "big surgery”. She explained that it was obvious that the doctors at this hospital were not well versed nor had the knowledge or the capability to do the correct surgery. She found Dr Miklos & Moore in Atlanta Georgia and subsequently made the trip and underwent the Davydov procedure.
Pre-op Vaginal Length = 4-5cm // Post-op Vaginal Length = 8.5cm
"It had been several years since I saw Dr. Moore for a consult and my PCP thought it would be a good idea to see Dr. Matt Burella, well know for Gyn. Cancer & Pelvic Reconstructive Surgeon for evaluation. I saw Dr. Burrell and he said “I don’t know why your doctor sent you to see me as the only surgeon in the southeast that can handle this type of surgery is Dr. Robert Moore” and he strongly recommended that the only surgeon that I should go to fix my problem is Dr. Moore."
